Programme pillars that keep development community-led

Ethana e'World Humanitarian Organization operates through connected programme pillars that grew from one conviction: communities are not passive beneficiaries, they are builders of their own future. Each department blends local knowledge, practical training, transparent records, and modern tools so the people we serve remain decision-makers.

  • 400+ field workers coordinate programmes across Nigeria, Ghana, and the diaspora, reporting into our Berlin headquarters.
  • Every department shares data, co-funds pilots, and hands over ownership to resident committees once systems stabilise.
  • Together the teams connect education, livelihoods, water, sanitation, nutrition, energy, sport, and emergency support into one community development model.

Health, Nutrition & E-Health Awareness

Our health work connects nutrition, prevention, hygiene, maternal and child health awareness, and practical e-health education for families.

  • Promotes organic food systems, balanced diets, and wellness education without making unverified medical cure claims.
  • Links health education with WASH, agriculture, schools, and safe community support structures.
  • Explores e-health tools for remote coaching, early referrals, health literacy, and programme follow-up.

Education, Scholarships & Skills

Education is a catalyst for self-determined futures, especially for rural children, women, and adults whose opportunities have been limited.

  • Supports scholarships, learning materials, and mentoring for children in underserved communities.
  • Expands women skill acquisition so adults can support households and community livelihoods.
  • Links learning with nutrition, e-health awareness, climate resilience, and entrepreneurship.

Organic Agriculture & Nutrition

Our agriculture team helps smallholder farmers shift from extractive practices to regenerative systems that nourish soil, people, and income.

  • Supports smallholder farmers with organic inputs, practical training, soil restoration, and agroecology coaching.
  • Builds farmer field schools and market access cooperatives that stabilise prices and logistics.
  • Promotes healthier local food systems that protect soil, biodiversity, farmers, and families.

WASH & Public Health

Water, sanitation, and hygiene infrastructure is the backbone of every health and education outcome we pursue.

  • Co-designs boreholes, solar pump stations, and water kiosks managed by resident committees.
  • Trains hygiene champions who deliver behaviour-change campaigns in schools and markets.
  • Pairs WASH investments with waste-to-compost innovations that feed our agriculture pipeline.

Sport & Youth Empowerment

Sport is more than recreation. It is a pathway for discipline, teamwork, confidence, youth development, and community unity.

  • Uses football, athletics, cultural games, and mentoring to channel youth energy into hope and teamwork.
  • Creates safer spaces where vulnerable groups can rebuild confidence and belonging through movement.
  • Organises community sport events that raise awareness, mobilise partners, and support programme fundraising.

Green Energy & Infrastructure

Reliable, clean energy is the invisible infrastructure that powers our clinics, classrooms, and cold chains.

  • Promotes solar access, energy efficiency, and practical training for schools, community centres, and local enterprise.
  • Supports clean infrastructure that strengthens education, WASH, agriculture, and health awareness work.
  • Advocates for community-owned energy systems that reduce dependence on costly and polluting fuels.
