Refund Policy

Donations processed through our online Flutterwave checkout are generally final once payment is confirmed. Because funds are directed quickly to field programmes, refunds are granted only under exceptional circumstances such as proven fraud, duplicate transactions, or clear payment error.

If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us within seven (7) calendar days by emailing finance@ethanaeworld.org or support@ethanaeworld.org. Provide the Flutterwave transaction reference, amount, date, donor email, and reason. We review each case individually and aim to respond within five business days.

For duplicate charges or unauthorised use, we coordinate with our payment processor to verify the claim and issue a refund when confirmed. Supporting documentation may be requested to expedite investigations.

Recurring donors may cancel or adjust monthly gifts at any time through their supporter dashboard or by contacting donor relations. Changes take effect immediately, but payments processed prior to the request remain subject to this policy.

Registration fees for events or sponsorship packages may be refundable up to fourteen (14) days before the event start date, minus committed expenses. Requests made afterwards are evaluated individually, considering costs already incurred.

Non-monetary donations, including supplies or services, are not subject to refunds. Once received, such contributions are directed to the intended programmes and cannot be returned.

Approved refunds are issued through the original payment channel where possible, including Flutterwave-supported cards, transfers, or other enabled methods. Depending on banking partners, it may take up to ten (10) additional business days for funds to appear on your account.

If a refund is granted for a contribution that generated a tax receipt, the donor is responsible for updating records and refraining from claiming the refunded amount for tax purposes.

This Refund Policy may be revised to align with legal requirements or operational changes. Updates take effect upon publication, and continued use of our donation services indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
